TNC. Posted September 3, 2010. Both the KLX and WR are great dual sport 250's. The WR has better power right out of the box due to the fuel injection. The KLX needs at least a muffler change, minor airbox mod, and rejet to wake it up.

The manual for my KLR indicates that the intended rider weighs 150lbs. I can’t imagine that they designed the KLX for someone larger. It’s possible to get new fork oil, front springs and a new rear shock to set it up for someone your size. Other than that you might just feel a little cramped on it.
